Cub Scouting is a year round program. However, Pack 170 has traditionally
celebrated the end of school year with a graduation party outdoors. In May, 2008
the celebration will be held at Holland Park in Fishers. As always, there was plenty
of food (most donated by Steak and Shake), friendship, and of course the annual
obstacle course!

REQUIREMENTS
The pack will plan and conduct a monthly pack activity for June, July, and
August. Participating in these Summertime activities also gives the Cub Scout,
his Den, and the Pack an opportunity to earn the National Summertime Pack Award,
an important component of the Quality Unit Program.
In the past Pack 170 has held fishing contests in June, or more recently been
a participant in the Fishers
Freedom Festival Children's Parade.
For July, we typically use the Summer Day camps for Camp Belzer or Camp K to meet the requirement.
For August, 2005 Pack 170 is having a pool party at the Summer Break Swim Club
pool. The Cubmaster is going to try and coordinate a Raingutter Regatta at the
pool party as well.
RECOGNITIONS
For the Pack - A full-color certificate suitable for framing and an
attractive streamer for the pack flag.
For the Dens of the award earning Pack - A den ribbon for each den that has
50 percent or more of its boys participating in each of the three activities.
For the boys of the award earning Pack - A pin for each boy who takes part in
one of the summer months' activities each of the three months. This award pin is
worn on the official Cub Scout uniform centered on the right pocket flap just
above the button. Only one National Summertime Pack Award may be worn on the
uniform. The pin is awarded only once.
